European Adventure - Day 17 - Venice

Today's plans in Venice were pretty simple really! Head to St Marks Square first up and go up the Campanile (Bell Tower). I was hoping to be able to climb the stairs, and the kids wanted to go up the lift with BJ. Unfortunately the stairs weren't open to the public so my exercise was nixed for the day! The view from the top was amazing though! :)

After going up the tower we headed to get some take away lunch before we headed to find a gondola to have a ride on where we could eat our lunch, and BJ and I could have some wine. We went to the gondola stand right near the Rialto Bridge and were charged the set rate of 80 Euro for a 40 mins ride, which wasn't too bad. The ride was fantastic, and the kids loved it too which was great.

After our ride we wandered around Venice taking photos, and buying bits and pieces. All up we walked over 12km which wasn't too bad considering it didn't feel like we walked that far!
