Flying to Penang :-) - Silk Air Business Class

I think we have ruined our children for any future travel - they will now expect Business Class!

We left Darwin at around 3am this morning to fly from Darwin - Singapore. The flight was great and we all enjoyed the extra room that Business Class affords. The kids thought it was all a novelty how much the flight attendants fuss over you - especially when you are a child sitting in Business Class. We were all given a snack, a tablet and snuggled down to rest. I slept the majority of the way as did Isabel, but I am pretty sure the three boys played with the gadgets and just soaked in all the luxury!

We then arrived in Singapore and went straight to our next gate. We had an hour to wait for our plane to Penang so we just sat around and waited. It was quite early (7am I think), so we were happy to relax. Once we boarded our plane to Penang we were fed some blueberry pancakes and before we knew it the flight was over and we were landing in Penang.

I don't know how we will cope now going back to Cattle class! :-)

We are now settled into our hotel - which is the G Hotel - and absolutely loving it! :) We are hoping to be in our apartment by the end of this week, so fingers crossed!

27 Weeks - Third Trimester!!!

Baby growth:
Baby Murray is now the size of a cauliflower! Measuring about 40 cm and weighs about 1kg..

My ribs are still quite painful. Thankfully no more cramps in the middle of the night in my calves! Since we are in the midst of moving I have had sore legs / butt but I think that is mainly from all the stretching and extra activity.

Total weight gain/loss:
Still at 12kg. I have just disposed of my scales as I can't take them to Penang.. so won't be weighing myself again until after bub arrives. I guess the Obstetrician might weigh me when I get to Penang and if he does then I will report in!

Maternity clothes?
As previous - Yes!

Stretch marks?
As previous - Yes!

Sleep:
Like a log!

What I miss:
Seriously craving smoked salmon and poached eggs right now - they were my go-to breakfast on weekends after my big runs... so hanging to have them again after bub arrives!

Movement:
Lots of movement!

Exercise this week:
Moving is exercise right? So lots!! Lots of packing, moving and organisign!

Food cravings:
As per my "What I miss" answer above - smoked salmon and poached eggs!

Have you started to show yet:
Most definitely - no disguising this pregnancy!

Gender:
Boy!

Questions or concerns this weeks:
Not really - haven't had too much time to think about bub this week! No doubt once we are settled in Penang I will be able to think more about it once I meet the Obstetrician.

Baby Buys:
Nothing - trying to be good and resist buying much more! We don't have much room in our luggage to take on the plane as we have them jam packed already. Once we are over there though I am sure the shopping will pick up!

Have you started to show yet:

Questions or concerns this weeks:
Just starting to think more about the labour, and really keen to get to Penang so I can sort out the obstetrician and hospital.

Baby Buys:
I bought some gorgeous 0000 clothes last weekend, and also received bug's mobile for above his bed in the mail. :-) Quite excited, and now just want to get settled into our new apartment in Penang and set up the nursery. I won't be able to do that until late December / early January, so still a fair while to go.

Baby Buys:
Nothing for the baby in particular.

Last week was pretty busy I had my Gestational Tolerance Test which came back all ok - despite the immense amounts of chocolate I've been eating!

I also had my 24 week midwife appointment which is my last appointment with the medical staff here in Darwin. The midwife I saw was lovely, and we had a big talk about breastfeeding which I am hoping to do. She gave me quite a few syringes so that I can hand express before the baby is born and freeze them ready in case I have issues with my supply after bub arrives. I will be discussing this with the midwives in Penang to see if they will support this, as I have no idea how they do things over there!

We had our international removal collected yesterday, so our house is looking very bare. It was quite exciting though to get the first part of our move done and now we just have to wait a few weeks to move into our hotel then do the final part of the removal. We are hiring a skip and having a mass cull, and whatever we don't cull (mainly furniture) will be put into storage.

Baby Shower no.2!

I was very lucky to have a second baby shower - this time up in Darwin with my lovely northern friends. My sister Rebecca also flew up from Canberra for the weekend, and my close friend Cyn drove up from Katherine. It was lovely to spend time with lots of my gorgeous friends, play some games and catch up!

I had the cake, macarons and cookies made from The Chantilly Kitchen here in Darwin. Tenille who is Chantilly Cakes is so talented and I knew as soon as I found out I was pregnant that I wanted Tenille to be the one to make the cake for the baby shower! I was so so so impressed - thanks Tenny, you really hit the nail on the head and I loved everything!

Thanks so much to all my beautiful friends for coming, and in particular my sis Beck for helping out and cooking / prepping food all day, Cyn for helping me organise, buying food and being the master of ceremonies and Emma for bringing cupcakes and pinwheels! Much appreciated lovelies!

Gift and Games table

Yummy Macarons from The Chantilly Kitchen, and cupcakes made from my gorgeous friend Emma.

More of Emma's great cupcakes.

The gift bags for my guests - cookies made by The Chantilly Kitchen, and mini baby bottles with jelly beans.

I had one drink container full of lemonade for us pregnant ladies, and children, and some of the food.

The party table - the other drink on the other end was very potent Blue Lagoon which by all reports was delicious.

My gorgeous family.

Present time!!! My beautiful daughter Isabel was very excited so I let her help me to unwrap the gifts.

My gorgeous friend Susan won the jelly bean guessing competition!

The amazing cake that was made from Tenille from The Chantilly Kitchen - absolutely love it and so

Running Events for 2015!

I am desperately missing running! I know some people would think that is quite sad but I do love keeping fit and pushing myself to my limits..

So as such I have been researching events for next year after bub arrives. I am planning on giving myself 3-4 months to get myself back into running shape... here is my planned time table:

31 May 2015 - Penang Run 8km Fun Run 2015/2016 Series Race 1 - Penang
21 June 2015 - JSP City Run Penang 10km - Penang
4 July 2015 - Darwin Runners & Walkers 10km - Darwin
2 August 2015 - Forward Oat King Sports Run 2015 Half Marathon - Penang
13 September 2015- Penang Starwalk 7km - Penang
25 October 2015 - Penang Run Half Marathon 2015/2016 Series Race 2 - Penang
15 November 2015 - Penang Bridge Half Marathon / Marathon - Penang
6 December 2015 - Singapore Marathon - Singapore

I know there are quite a few more runs in Penang so will probably slot some more in - especially in September / October - once I know the schedule.

So once I have recovered from bub's arrival and gotten back into the gym and running I will be blogging how I get back my running fitness, lose my baby weight and all my fitness plans! I am quite excited about it all and think 2015 is going to be an amazing year!

Lots coming up this week!

Thursday - Gestational Diabetes Test.
Friday - Midwife appointment at the hospital and my sis Beck arrives late Friday night for the weekend - so a super flying visit.
Saturday - BJ's birthday.
Sunday - My Baby shower.
Monday - Removalists are coming to pack up our stuff to go overseas.

So so much going on! I am pretty tired thinking about it all! I will be blogging about the baby shower and how I go in my GTT test next week with my 25 week update. Hopefully all good since I have been eating a fair bit of chocolate!

On that note I better get back to more packing and organising. We are throwing out a lot of stuff which is good, but the main problem is trying to work out what we are taking and what is going into storage.. such a big decision!
