Total weight gain/loss:

Won't be weighed again until my next Ob appointment in 2 weeks - so hoping I'm still sitting around 14kg up.

Sleeping great once I finally get to sleep!

What I miss:
Nothing much at the moment.

Movement:
Lots of movement!

Exercise this week:
Some walking but am getting really tired now and just wanting to sit a lot - trying to get more walking in as it is os good for me!

Food cravings:
Chocolate... not too good! LOL

Have you started to show yet:
Most definitely - no disguising this pregnancy!

Gender:
Boy!

Questions or concerns this week:
Nothing really!! Starting to really start to think about what to do when bub arrives with managing the other children and around BJ's work. It is going to be interesting to see how we juggle it all. At our Ob appt we will know our c/section date so then we can plan everything out. BJ has a few work trips planned so trying to manage it around that but of course bub takes priority. The children start school next week so we have been busily getting organised for it with buying uniforms, getting school bags sorted and just making sure they are ready. I am pretty nervous about it (being a Mum I guess I always worry how they'll manage), but I am sure it will all work out. Their school is very well regarded and I am sure they will love it - even if it takes them a while to settle in.

Questions or concerns this week:
No nothing at all. We have a busy week planned with Christmas which will be lovely. It is a bit weird to be in a place where Christmas isn't a big thing - I think next year we will definitely travel somewhere for Christmas, or hopefully have guests for Christmas. BJ is on holidays for the next week too so it has been lovely to have him at home with us. We have just been doing a fair bit of swimming, movie watching and relaxing.

Tropical Spice Garden Cooking School class

I was really excited to book in to the Tropical Spice Garden Cooking School to do their Hawker Delight Cooking class.

We met at the Tropical Spice Garden at Batu Ferringhi early yesterday morning, and started off with a tour of the garden. It is just beautiful and I can only imagine how much work goes into keeping it in such amazing condition and under control!

Our instructor was the very well known Pearly Kee and I must admit one reason I booked this particular class was because I had read about Pearly on Trip Advisor and wanted to attend her class. :)

The dishes we cooked were Char Siew Chicken, Wonton Dumplings - fried and in chicken noodle soup, and also garlic chilly sauce. It was absolutely delicious. I am now inspired to go to our local wet markets and buy up all the ingredients and cook everything I was taught for BJ and the kids. I am sure they would love it.

Questions or concerns this weeks:
No real questions or concerns. I did go to meet my obstetrician on Tuesday with the kids and checked out Island Hospital. It was lovely and the Obstetrician was really nice. He did confirm I will be having a caesarean which I was a little disappointed with, but it is good to be able to book it in around BJ, as he has a lot of work trips planned early in the year. He will have 2 weeks off when I have the baby so that is good to know. Caesarean is likely to be when I am 37-38 weeks pregnant, so that sounds scary as it isn't that far away! I can't wait to meet my newest little man. I will be in hospital for a week and BJ and the other children are only allowed to visit in visiting hours (except for when bub is born when BJ is allowed to be in there with me thank goodness). So it is very different to Australia where BJ was with me the majority of the time for the previous pregnancies. I will make sure I have my computer, phone and books to read as 5 days in hospital with a newborn equals lots of time with not much to do when they are asleep. Over here they also prefer the baby to sleep in the nursery and they just bring the baby to you for feeding, but I will be requesting he is with me and if I am really tired and desperate for sleep only then I will probably allow them to take him to the nursery. I will see how I go though! I think I will just be happy to gaze at him!

I do need to buy a change mat for our baby change table, some linen for the bassinet and a baby sling / wrap for when bub is brand new. I am still searching for what I want so hopefully will make up my mind soon. :-)

Moving in!

We moved into our apartment today - a lot earlier than we thought which is fantastic!

I realised I haven't taken a lot of photos but will take more - important places are missing - like the view, our kitchen etc, but I will update next week with more photos, as well as after I decorate.

Our bags ready to move from the hotel to our apartment, which thankfully is only a 500 metre walk :-)

Miss Isabel quite excited to be in our new living room :-)

Looking back from the kitchen area to the kitchen table, and then to the dining table. A bit weird to have two tables in such close proximity but all good!!

The boys bathroom :-)

Keenan's bedroom - he has moved one of the single beds into Aidan's room. Keenan just needs a desk.

Aidan's room - he has now got a single bed and the futon in here (he wanted it!), and just needs a tallboy. ;-)

Shows the space we have looking from the large dining table to the living area.

Our bedroom - lots of space.

Our ensuite

Swimming pool in complex with Slide - a major draw card for the kids! They love it.

Little garden area near the pool with view over to the water. :-)

Isabel's bedroom - she has started decorating. She needs a bookcase to put all her treasures on so then her dressing table will double as a desk. We are also going to get a new rug for her floor. :)

We are loving the location of the apartment - so close to everything - only a few minutes to walk to Paragon Gurney Shopping Centre, and Gurney Plaza shopping centre. Will be so convenient when bub comes along and I just want to head out for a walk or need to grab a few things. :-)

28 Weeks!

Baby growth:
Baby Murray is now the size of a large eggplant! Measuring about 40 cm and weighs about 1kg..

Total weight gain/loss:

I weighed myself at the hotel the other day and I was still sitting at 12kg gain so hope I can maintain that. I have resisted buying new scales and am going to try to keep resisting! I would rather not know from now on.

Maternity clothes?
As previous - Yes!

Stretch marks?
As previous - Yes!

Sleep:
Like a log!

What I miss:
Nothing much at the moment.

Movement:
Lots of movement!

Exercise this week:
Lots of unpacking, putting together furniture and cleaning - feeling pretty exhausted!

Food cravings:
Just water really!

Questions or concerns this weeks:
Nothing! Obstetrician booked for 16 December, so looking forward to meeting him and discussing my options.

Baby Buys:
I just did a big Chemist Warehouse online order to be delivered with necessities - like Sudocream, Lansinoh etc - not terribly exciting!

I have set up the nursery which is exciting. We decided to do it in the corner of our bedroom :-) Photos below! I of course still need to buy a few things - cot mattress, change table mat, put up the mobile and buy a chest of drawers for bubs supplies. All in good time though!

Penang Fun

Ever since we arrived in Penang last Saturday we have been trying to get out of the hotel room and look around. This has mainly been to the shopping centres and to the different hawker markets, but I am sure we will venture further when we get our car and are all settled in.

Here are some pics of the children swimming at the G Pool. This is my favourite pool - so lovely and big and totally relaxing. Nothing better than having a cool drink and yummy snack prepared at the pool bar while watching the kids swim and enjoy themselves.

We also head out most days to different places in Gurney Plaza to eat lunch and it's a bit of a novelty, but we are very keen to get into our own place so we can just make sandwiches!

We have just found out we are moving into our apartment tomorrow - we are very excited! I can't wait to get everything set up! :-)

Flying to Penang :-) - Silk Air Business Class

I think we have ruined our children for any future travel - they will now expect Business Class!

We left Darwin at around 3am this morning to fly from Darwin - Singapore. The flight was great and we all enjoyed the extra room that Business Class affords. The kids thought it was all a novelty how much the flight attendants fuss over you - especially when you are a child sitting in Business Class. We were all given a snack, a tablet and snuggled down to rest. I slept the majority of the way as did Isabel, but I am pretty sure the three boys played with the gadgets and just soaked in all the luxury!

We then arrived in Singapore and went straight to our next gate. We had an hour to wait for our plane to Penang so we just sat around and waited. It was quite early (7am I think), so we were happy to relax. Once we boarded our plane to Penang we were fed some blueberry pancakes and before we knew it the flight was over and we were landing in Penang.

I don't know how we will cope now going back to Cattle class! :-)

We are now settled into our hotel - which is the G Hotel - and absolutely loving it! :) We are hoping to be in our apartment by the end of this week, so fingers crossed!
